Moved In: Dresser

The dresser is moved in and ready to be filled.
After a couple of weeks of painting, molding and touch ups we've moved the baby dresser in!!! Next up, putting the crib together.
Tyler thinks I sleep with a smile on my face every time we get something big accomplished with the baby room. I actually think I'm going to start calling this baby "Prince Robinson" because his room is pretty fancy. He's a spoiled brat and he's not even born yet.

Disney Chef's Gala

On Saturday night, Tyler and I were able to attend the 2012 Disney Chef's Gala, thanks to Ty's VP.
I was a little worried when he told me on Friday that we were going. A gala and a gala when pregnant are way different. There was no way I was going to find a "gala" dress in less than 24 hours when I'm almost 6 months pregnant. And Tyler doesn't own a tux, so I thought this gala was starting off to a great start...After we figured out that cocktail attire was acceptable I was relieved and ready to bid on some charity auctions and EAT!!
Widely recognized as the region's premier food and wine pairing charity event, Chef's Gala features mouth-watering cuisine from more than 20 of Central Florida's top chefs. It also includes thoughtfully paired wines, a sparkling wine and martini bar reception, fabulous desserts, live music and an elegant silent auction.

Proceeds from Chef's Gala support United Way funded programs that provide shelter, food and other basic necessities to Central Floridians in desperate need.

Thanks to the generosity of our host and sponsor, WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort, and other fine sponsors, last year's event raised more than $185,000 for local residents in need, which makes it easy to see why Chef's Gala has been Making a Tasteful Difference for 20 Years!

THE BUMP
My Mother's Day To Be flowers
Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With his sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that he's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see him squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb.

Size of the baby?
11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango)
Total Weight Gain/Loss?
So I got on the scale today - 140 OUCH
I think that puts me up 14-16 lbs from when I first weighed in.
Good thing I don't feel like I gained that much weight. It's really all belly right now and a little extra in my thighs.

Sleeping on my stomach - I don't think this answer will ever change.
Actually, I miss looking down and seeing all of my foot.

Mother's Day Weekend

We didn't have your typical Mother's Day weekend as we have in the past. We invited my parents over to paint the little mans room. How nice of us. Actually, my Mom said "if you tape, I'll paint" so we took her up on it. After everyone had a little paint on them (except me, I was able to craft most of the day) we cooked out.  We still have a ways to go, but the paint totally transformed the room. May already be my favorite room in the house.
Of course Dozer had to be in on the action - he thought he was the supervisor even though he was kicked out

He's ready...
Room stripped from everything (former gym), taped and ready to go

Room in progress

The guys hanging the new blinds
Obviously he's not doing his job

DIY Pacifier Clip

I found this No Sew Pacifier Clip Tutorial and knew I had to give it a shot....as I don't sew.
These are so EASY I made about 20 this weekend for our little man and friends little boys & girls.

What you need:
1/2 inch Velcro
Scissors
Hot Glue Gun
Ribbon - 11 to 13in per piece of ribbon (purchased at Michael's)
Mitten Clip (purchased at JoAnn's, not pictured)
1: Cut a piece of velcro to match the width of your ribbon and cut the length at about 1/2 inch.
2: Place glue on one edge of the ribbon and fold it over about 1/2 inch.  Press and hold.  This gives a solid/straight edge "hem"
3. With the velcro still stuck together place hot glue on one side and glue it down to the "hem"
Place hot glue on the opposite side then fold the ribbon over and glue at your desired length (1-2 inches)
This will be the side you strap the pacifier into.
Step 4: Repeat step 2 (at 1/4inch) on the other edge of the ribbon
Step 5: Feed the newly "hemmed" ribbon through the mitten clip and hot glue the edge to the other piece of ribbon
